A Letter from Chris Joffe
ANNOUNCING OUR NEW HEAD OF FINANCE

 

I am delighted to announce that Julia Yzaguirre will be joining Joffe Emergency Services as our new Head of Finance, effective July 1, 2025.

Screenshot 2025-04-01 at 9.55.49 AMJulia brings nearly 30 years of experience in independent school business offices, making her uniquely positioned to support the very schools and organizations we serve. Throughout her career, she has developed a deep understanding of the financial and operational complexities within independent schools, ensuring long-term fiscal health and strategic planning for the institutions she has served.

She has led financial operations at several distinguished institutions, including Turning Point School, The Center for Early Education, and Marlborough School, where she spent 17 years overseeing the business office. In addition, Julia has provided financial consulting for independent schools across Los Angeles and Orange Counties, specializing in business office structures, risk management, and financial sustainability. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by training, Julia earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from UC Santa Barbara and began her career at Deloitte & Touche. 

Julia’s experience, expertise, and deep connection to the independent school world make her a perfect fit for Joffe Emergency Services. Her leadership will be pivotal in supporting our financial strategy as we continue to grow and evolve in service of our mission.

We are excited to welcome Julia to the Joffe team and look forward to the impact she will have in the months and years ahead. Please join us in warmly welcoming her when she officially begins her role this summer!
