Summer is an exciting time filled with graduations, music festivals, outdoor events, and countless other celebrations. As we gear up for these vibrant gatherings, it’s worth taking a moment to revisit the importance of effective crisis communication. 

Crisis communication goes beyond just having a plan; it involves the game-day execution of that plan, ensuring that every message is clear, timely, and reaches the intended audience. We need to consider how we communicate under pressure, the tools and technologies we use, and the ways we can improve our messaging to avoid misunderstandings and panic.

This month, let’s work towards these key goals:

  • Communication Template Preparation: Refining our messaging to ensure clarity and avoid misinformation.
  • Technology Integration: Ensuring our communication tools are up-to-date and capable of handling a crisis.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Improving coordination with local authorities and emergency services for streamlined communication.
  • Training and Drills: Preparing teams to execute communication plans effectively under stress.

The 9th Annual Black Music Honors, hosted by LeToya Luckett and DeRay Davis, celebrated trailblazing artists and offered live performances with Joffe Responders providing first aid and EMT services.

ATL Ballet- Liquid Motion

The Atlanta Ballet’s season finale featured two trailblazing works by the next generation of choreographers, delivering a refreshing, immersive experience that pushed the boundaries of conventional ballet. Held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, our dedicated team was on hand to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees, making it a memorable and secure evening for everyone.

Netflix is a Joke

This month, we had the privilege to provide medical services during the filming of the Netflix Series: Netflix is a Joke. Netflix is a Joke Fest is the biggest comedy festival in North America. Produced by Netflix in association with Live Nation, the star-studded celebration of comedy featured over 400+ live stand-up shows, special events, table reads, sketches, and more with the best comedians and artists in the world.

Jim Hulbert, J.D., is a partner and CEO at The Jane Group and a labor and employment lawyer by training. Jim works closely with board chairs and executive committees advising on complicated issues involving governance matters and best practices, leadership transitions, sexual misconduct investigations, and employment disputes and DEI(JB) cases, as well as managing a response to social media campaigns against schools.
