It was great to see so many of you at the IAVM Region 7 Conference in sunny San Diego! The energy was amazing, and it really reminded me of how valuable it is to get together, share ideas, and learn from each other.
Safety was a big theme of the conference, and security was front and center in many conversations. We covered it all, from new tools to best practices, and it really highlighted just how important it is to stay informed, proactive, and connected.
One conversation that really stood out happened during the opening reception. I was catching up with a former colleague, and we were talking about how security is evolving. As we chatted, we agreed that being part of a community like this allows us to share freely — whether it’s talking about new resources, challenges, or experiences. My colleague shared how their team had recently started using new tech to improve crowd management, and we both agreed — it’s not just about having the right tools, it’s about having the right mindset. When we’re together like this, in a community where everyone is comfortable sharing, it helps us stay ahead of the curve, innovate, and improve continuously. Moments like that drive home how important it is to keep fostering these connections and to always look for ways to learn and grow together.
We’re committed to staying engaged, continually learning, and providing relevant resources to help everyone stay ahead. To keep the momentum going, here’s what we’ve put together for this month:
